Russian border-guards have found an arms cache on the Chechen section of the Russo-Georgian border, the eighth one since the year's start, Sergei Livantsov, in charge of the press service of the North Caucasus regional frontier department, reported Wednesday.
The border-guards seized three 82-mm mines, an electric detonator and over 1,500 small arms cartridges from the cache they encountered near the village of Keseloi.
Last year, found along the border were close on 60 arms caches that contained a total of over 70,000 ammunitions of all sorts, 180 kg of explosives, nearly 360 mines of varied calibre, 210 grenades and more than 70 small arms, recalled the officer.
