Two crew members have been rescued from the Russian motor ship Strelets, which sank in the Strait of Bosphorus last night. The Russian Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti that two more were found dead.
At the moment, 3 Russian and 4 foreign vessels are involved in the rescue effort. The sunken vessel carried 14.
It is tentatively believed that adverse weather conditions had been the cause of the disaster.
The M/S Strelets belonged to Moscow River Shipping Company. It was bound for the Russian port of Taganrog from Turkey.
