Head of the Chechen administration Akhmad Kadyrov has announced that the conflict around the republic's finance minister is over.
"It's over," he said, answering journalists' questions. He added there were "no complications with the [finance] minister." "We will handle our internal problems ourselves," he said.
On January 13, Kadyrov signed a decree to appoint deputy Finance Minister Eli Isayev head of the finance ministry.
Mikhail Babich, the Chechen Prime Minister, claimed the appointment to be illegal.
Before Isayev, the republic's Finance Minister was Sergei Abramov. Kadyrov's decree dismissed him from his post on the ground that he was being "transferred to a different job."
