20 armed separatists were killed in Chechnya during special operations federal military and police sub-units conducted over the last 3 days, the regional operational HQ for anti-terrorist operations in the North Caucasus reported.
The killed gunmen are being identified. The special operations embraced the villages of Bamut, Goragorsk, Argun, Bachi-Yurt, Kurchaloi, the HQ remarked. Federal forces confiscated a large amount of weapons and ammunition.
The largest cache was discovered in the Nadterechny district, the HQ pointed out. It contained 4 Shmel flame-throwers, anti-personnel mines, a sniper rifle, automatic rifles, grenade launchers, over 40-meter-long detonating cord, handcuffs, and self-made explosive devices.
A total of 7 arms caches have been exploded in Chechnya in the past 24 hours, the HQ reported.
