Woman Kills and Dismembers Rapper Husband Into 15 Parts

A court in St. Petersburg delivered a verdict in the case of Marina Kokhal, who was charged in connection with the dismemberment of her husband, rapper Andy Kartraite (real name — Alexander Yushko), according to the joint press service of the city courts.

The court found Kokhal guilty under Article 105 ("Murder”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sentenced her to 12.5 years in a general regime penal colony.

Timeline of the Crime

Kartraite 's dismembered body was discovered in his apartment on July 30, 2020. Investigators launched a criminal case for murder and charged his wife. According to the prosecution, she administered a lethal dose of an insulin-containing drug, which he did not survive.

Afterwards, using a hacksaw and a knife, she dismembered his body, placed the pieces in bags, and initially claimed he had died four days earlier from a drug overdose. Some of the rapper's internal organs were never recovered. The purpose was to conceal the body, but she was unsure how to proceed with the disposal. She then contacted a lawyer, who informed the police.

Kokhal Denies Guilt

Kokhal has not admitted guilt. She claimed that she discovered her husband already deceased due to an overdose. According to her version, she considered his death inglorious and wanted to preserve his reputation, leading her to simulate his disappearance by dismembering the body.
