Huge waves washed eight people into the raging ocean in Oman.
The tragedy occurred on Mugsail beach in the province of Dhofar on Sunday evening. According to Al Arabiya News, a family of Asian tourists was staying there.
Three people were rescued immediately, the bodies of two others, including one child, were later recovered from the water. Three others remain missing.
The Oman authorities announced the closure of tourist facilities to avoid more deaths or accidents.
