Three servicemen were killed, another six sustained wounds in militants' attacks in Chechnya.
According to the Russian Interior Ministry, two corpses of Russian soldiers with gunshot wounds were found the other day in the Staropromyslovsky district of Grozny. A search operation to find those responsible has been launched.
The same day, an APC /armoured personnel carrier/ and a Ural truck transporting an engineer reconnaissance platoon exploded on radio-controlled land mines planted near a checkpoint. Four wounded servicemen were rushed to hospital.
Another explosion went off near the Kharachoi village, the Vedeno district, when a reconnaissance company was moving in the area. One conscript was wounded and subsequently rushed to hospital.
Last night, militants attacked the platoon foothold of an Interior Force unit stationed in the Shelkovskaya district centre. One private was killed, another one was wounded. Federal servicemen opened return fire.
Over the past 24 hours, there have been three explosions and four militants' attacks with the use of small arms and rocket-launchers in Grozny. Each time, federal troops opened return fire.
