Two policemen were killed and one got wounded in a militant attack in Chechnya's Nadterechny district.
The Russian Interior Ministry reported to RIA Novosti on Monday that the crime had been committed the other day on a motor road not far from the village of Bratskoye. Bandits opened small arms fire at a Niva car carrying officers of a district interior ministry department.
A 24-year-old police officer, S-A.A. Zavgayev, the son of the administration head who was killed last week, got mortally wounded in the attack which also left another policeman killed and a third wounded.
One of the attackers was killed in return fire. The militant is being identified. A criminal case has been opened and an investigation is underway.
