In Grozny a militant blows himself up when installing self-made explosive device

In Grozny's Leninsky district a militant blew himself up when installing an explosive device.

The regional operational headquarters under the department for counter-terrorist operations in the North Caucasus reported that on Sunday morning local residents noticed an unknown man near house No. 154 in Mayakovskaya Street, who was installing a self-made explosive device on the curb of the road. The shouts of passers-by forced the man to make a wrong movement, which set off the explosion. The unknown man, who received lethal shrapnel wounds, soon died.

The combined operational group of members of the Leninsky District Interior Department identified the militant - he was a member of an illegal armed formation.
