The newly elected head of the breakaway People's Republic of Luhansk, Igor Plotnitsky, is convinced that the number of Novorossiya republics will only grow with time. According to him, it does not mean that militia forces are planning a new war against Kiev. The official relies on the opinions of residents of neighboring regions of Ukraine that are not satisfied with the work of the new government of the country.
On November 2, the People's Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk held elections of regional heads and deputies of the people's councils. The leaders of the regions have remained the same. The head of the People's Republic of Donetsk is acting Prime Minister Alexander Zakharchenko. In the People's Republic of Luhansk, Igor Plotnitsky was reelected as the head of the republic.
"In Novorossiya, there should not just two republics. When there are more of them, it will be able to develop accordingly," Plotnitsky said.
According to Igor Plotnitsky, the number of self-proclaimed people's republics in Ukraine will be growing.
