Slavyansk self-defense forces shoot down Mi-24 chopper

On the outskirts of Slavyansk, the Donetsk region, self-defense forces show down a Mi-24 helicopter of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The helicopter was shot down during a combat mission. The pilots survived.

The helicopter crashed into the river. The chopper was shot down from a heavy machine gun.

The supporters of federalization in the east have already shot down helicopters before, by using portable missiles. Thus, on April 25th, a Mi-8 helicopter and an An-2 aircraft were destroyed during an attack of the airport of Kramatorsk.
