Pro-Russian protesters seize regional administration premises in Ukraine's Donetsk

In Donetsk, about a thousand people still remain near the building of the regional administration that protesters seized during the weekend. With the help of loudspeakers, they ask others to bring them to firewood, tires and food.

The entrance to the building of the Donetsk regional administration is enclosed with barbed wire and barricades made from automobile tires. Many masked men are armed with baseball bats and rubber batons that they seized from riot police during clashes.

A Russian flag is seen waving above the building; the canopy is decorated with the flag of the Donetsk region and the flag of the "Donetsk Republic." Speakers were installed near the entrance with the music of the Russian anthem playing from them.
