Jay Masterson: Appreciation for Your Site and President Putin

I found you through Yahoo. I am not sophisticated enough to write in your forums yet. I am very impressed with the breadth of ideas your participants express and may write in the future. I wanted to find a way to express to your media outlet how touched I was by your President Vladimir Putin's kindness to the people of the United States and his frank dealings with our president in all the recent events and previously. His depth of understanding and his wisdom are great gifts for your country and to ours at this time. I realize he is no saint and that he has in the past not had the best selection in friends. He is leader both appropriate and necessary in times of crisis however. I am an older person with many memories of when we were not on such friendly terms. During the generation-long cold war era, all my compatriots working for the defense of the US had the greatest respect for the Russian people, their tremendous discipline and courage, and especially their acute mental capacity. Thankfully we have all lived to express these things to you. Your talented composers and musicians have long been lauded. Most recently, we have benefited from the knowledge your country gained in bio-terrorism. I get to watch CSPAN regularly to get more diverse views. Thank you for the hard work you do to make Pravda such a stimluating media outlet. Thank you for bothering to have these free forum topics. Best wishes for your continued success,
