Pepsi Bottling Group Posts Fourth -Quarter Net Profit

Pepsi Bottling Group Inc. reported a fourth-quarter net income attributable to the company of $90 million or $0.40 per share versus a loss of $271 million or $1.28 per share.

On a comparable basis, net earnings for the latest quarter were $0.59 per share. On average, 9 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.43 for the quarter. Analysts' estimate typically excludes one-time items.
 
Net revenue for the fourth quarter slightly declined to $3.80 billion from $3.81 billion in the comparable period last year. Seven analysts estimated revenues of $3.82 billion for the quarter.
