General Electric Company (its unit GE Energy, to be exact) has signed a contract with Invenergy Wind LLC for supply of 750 megawatts of wind turbines. The approximate value of this contract is more than $1 billion.
The supply is a part of North American projects to be realized in 2010 (to provide more than 200,000 households with power).
Earlier GE signed a $1 billion deal with Invenergy to buy wind turbines for U.S. and European projects to be built in 2009.
The following deals demonstrate increased interest in wind energy and provide GE with considerable revenue.
