Remains of 111 Soviet soldiers found

Search units unearthed remains of 111 Soviet soldiers, who died during World War II in Gorodishchensk district of Volgogradsky region.

Commander of the search unit “Volga” Mikhail Godun stated in his interview with RIA “Novosti” that the search units from Volgograd and Tatarstan had been working in the region for one week already. Back in the days, that was the place of the most ruthless fights.

Remains of Soviet soldiers discovered by the search units not far away from the Kuzmichi village will be properly buried in the village of Rossoshki of Gorodishchensk region. More than 5 000 red Army warriors are already buried there.
