Moscow is Shocked with Terrorist Act in India - 26 March, 2003

Moscow is shocked with the terrorist act, which took place on early morning of March 24th in Nandimarg village of the Indian state Jammu and Kashmir. More than 20 people including women and children died as a result of the terrorist act. This was disclosed on Wednesday by the Russian Foreign Ministry Department of Information and Press.

The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the terrorist act against the Hindu society was conducted in order to escalate the situation in the state and to undermine the efforts of the Indian leadership and the local authorities to establish peace and order in the Jammu and Kashmir state.

By strongly condemning terrorism in any manifestation, Russia supports the measures India is taking to stop the activity of terrorist forces resorting to terrorism.
