Another child adopted from Russia has died in the United States. Kirill Kazakov, an eight-year-old boy, named as Jackson David Attuso, fell victim to a brutal non-motivated murder. His adoptive parents are not guilty of his death, Itar-Tass reports.
Kirill-Jackson was adopted with the help of Louisiana-based Beacon House Adoption Service Inc. Anne Hughes, the agency’s CEO, told Itar-Tass that the boy turned 8 on May 27. He was adopted on October 16, 2003 in Russia’s Blagoveschensk.
The crime was committed on June 10 in the town in St. Francisville, LA. Kirill, or Jack, as he was called in his family, was riding bicycles with his mother and brother in a park. His relatives later found his body, all covered with blood. The boy died of numerous stab wounds and had his throat cut.

Kirill fell behind in the race with his mother and brother. He was riding his bike on a path, when a young man, wielding a knife, appeared from behind the trees. The man was identified as Trevor Reese, 16, a local resident.
The little boy was trying to defend himself: forensic experts found a lock of Trevor’s hair in his hand. The teenager stabbed the boy in the chest and in the back, slit his throat and left the crime scene. The boy’s mother later found Kirill’s body lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
Trevor, covered with his victim’s blood, came to the nearest house and told its owner that he had just wounded a boy. The teenager asked the man to call 911. The shocked man called the ambulance and held the teenager in his home before the police arrived.
A local sheriff said that Reese did not even try to conceal his guilt and was even proud of what he had done. A state judge ruled that 16-year-old Trevor Reese should be tried as an adult, although he is turning 17 in a month.
The criminal has been charged with aggravated murder. The laws of Louisiana stipulate death penalty for such crimes, although it can not be used against underage individuals.
Nothing has been reported about the motives of the brutal murder. Most likely, it was a non-motivated action. Trevor Reese comes from a well-to-do family. He is a good student, but was referred to as a “rich and spoiled guy” in one of the comments.
