The fight is to take place on October 2nd
“DaVarryl, please do not exercise too much before we meet on the ring. I am not that big and strong. I have no stamina, I cannot hold a blow,” Wladimir Klitschko told DaVarryl Williamson during a telephone press-conference, which was organized yesterday within the scope of the advertising campaign for their forthcoming fight, which is to take place on October 2nd.
Williamson, however, said that it was too late to say so, because he had been through with all kinds of exercises in order to be prepared to face the rival, who considerably surpasses him physically. Williamson said that he would be happy to greet Wladimir, if he stayed in the same shape as he was during the fight against Lamon Brewster. “But, I don't think that will be the case. I'm looking forward to the old Wladimir, with the 10 round endurance, and is going to bring the best out of me. I can't wait till Saturday night, and I'm very excited about this chance,” Williamson said.
According to AllBoxing.ru, Wladimir Klitschko said that he had been trained and prepared for the fight with Williamson. He added that he had forgotten the unfortunate fight with Lamon Brewster and managed to concentrate on the coming tournament. “I feel no pressure, because I'm on the bottom of Boxing right now. I had a good time as champ, it's now another opportunity to get up. I have nothing to lose right anymore, and this way I go into the fight loose, without any pressure. I'm still young enough to climb up again,” Wladimir said.
