Russian Premier red-hot

With just two matches to go, two points separate three teams at the top of Russia's Premier League, with Zenit just ahead of Moscow teams Lokomotiv and CSKA. A last-minute back-heel from Cristiano Ronaldo keeps Real Madrid in the race, just, with all  eyes on the final match of the season between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid at Nou Camp.

 Russian Premier League (After 28 matches - 2 to go)

 Three clubs could win the Russian Premier League this season but André Villas-Boas' Zenit Saint Petersburg is still top with two games to go, leading with 60 points after a 1-1 draw away in Moscow at Lokomotiv, second with 59 points. CSKA Moskva is third with 58 points after a 3-1 win at Amkar's stadium in Perm.

 La Liga (After 36 matches - 2 to go)

Atlético went down 2-0 at Levante in Valencia and remains ahead on 88, three more than second-placed Barcelona, held 2-2 at home by Getafe. Real is third on 84 but with a  game in hand, after a home draw against Valencia, the fruit of a last-minute back-heeler from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Premiership (After 37 matches - 1 to go)

Manchester City leads with 80 points and like Liverpool, also on 80 points but with an inferior goal difference, has a game in hand. City had a 3-2 victory away at Everton. Chelsea (79), with one game to play (away in Cardiff) was held at home by Norwich City. Arsenal (76) guaranteed Champions League football next season with a 1-0 win against West Bromwich Albion. City has home games against Aston Villa and West Ham United; Liverpool travels to Crystal Palace tonight and receives Newcastle United in the last game.

Champion: Juventus

Juventus has a game in hand and leads with 93 points; second is AS Roma (85), 4-1 loser at Catania and Napoli is third with a game in hand on 69 points.

Ligue 1 (After 36 matches - 2 to go)

Paris Saint-Germain and AC Monaco have a game in hand, meaning that PSG is one draw away from winning the championship. PSG 83 points, AS Monaco FC 75, LOSC Lille, 68 (1-1 at Bastia).

Primeira Liga (After 29 matches - 1 to go)

Champion: Benfica

Capping a great season, Benfica is champion, finalist in the Europa League final against Sevilla and finalist in the Portuguese Cup final and Portuguese League Cup final. Benfica (74) drew at home against Setúbal (1-1), Sporting (67) drew away at Nacional in Madeira and FC Porto (58) lost 2-1 at Olhanense, a terrible season for the habitual Portuguese champions, third highest recipient of funds this year with the sale of players. Fenerbahçe (68 points) leads the Turkish league. Galatasaray AS (59) jumps over Besiktas JK (58).

In Azerbaijan, after 33 games (3 to go) the Championship is led by Qarabag with 69 points, Inter Baki PIK is second, with 63 points. Neftci PFK is third, with 55.

In Armenia, after 26 games, 2 to go,  FC Banants leads (47), 3 points clear of FC Ararat (44). FC Mika is third (43).
