The Syrian army plans to carry out offensive acts against the cities of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa with support of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Aleksey Borodavkin, permanent representative of Russia under the UN and other international organizations in Geneve, explained that, "the ceasefire regime does not apply to the Islamic State, Jabhat al-Nusra, and other terrorist groups, according to the UN Security Council resolution.
Moreover, it is said in the resolution that destructive combat actions against these terrorists should be continued. The Syrian Armed Forces with support of the Russian Aerospace Forces act namely in such a way".
He reminded that Palmyra was liberated in result of these acts, and now further offensive operations are being prepared against Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa.
As Pravda.Ru reported, armistice regime has been put into operation in Syria since 27 February.
