John McCain wants terrorists to shoot down Russian aircraft in Syria

John McCain, the chairman of the Military Committee of the US Senate, wants ISIS terrorists to be armed with anti-aircraft weapons to shoot Russian aircraft down, EntryNews reports with reference to Fox News.

During the recent days, the Russian Air Force has attacked multiple targets of ISIS terrorists in Syria. In an interview with Fox News, McCain, shared his view on how the US should handle with Russian war planes in Syria.

"I would do as we did in Afghanistan many years ago and give the guys the opportunity to shoot down those planes," McCain said.

Russia on the other hand insists that it has only attacked terrorist groups.

"We have attacked targets from ISIS and other targets. We attack all Islamic terrorist groups, not just ISIS," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

A company of US-trained rebels, "Division 30" joined the al-Nusra Front, which is a branch of al-Qaeda - a terrorist network which is considered to have been founded by the CIA during the Afghan war in the 1980s.
