John Kerry asks Russian FM Lavrov 'pay no mind' to Obama's bellicose statements

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on November 19 that his counterpart from the United States, Secretary of State John Kerry, called on him not to pay mind to Obama's statements about Russia, the Ebola virus and ISIS.

"I was pointing out the enumeration of threats, which Obama has allowed himself, starting with his speech at the UN General Assembly," Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday, speaking at the State Duma.

"Not so long ago, I was having a conversation with John Kerry and asked him what it all meant. He answered, 'Pay it no mind'," Lavrov said during the government hour in the State Duma.

Lavrov believes that for such a major power as the US, it is undignified to speak in such a manner and seek Russia's help only when this help is needed.

"It's not appropriate for a powerful country to have such a consumer attitude to its partners," Lavrov commented. "Where you're needed, help us; where you're not, obey us."
