Obama not planning official meeting with Putin at APEC and G20

An official spokesperson for the US administration said at a briefing in Washington said that President Barack Obama did not intend to have a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin next week, during APEC and G20 summits. Yet, Obama would like to have an informal conversation with Putin during the events, the official added.

The APEC Summit is to be held on November 10-11 in Beijing, whereas the G20 meeting will take place on November 15-16 in Brisbane, Australia. An official meeting between Obama and Putin is not expected, Reuters said. However, the agency added, the two leaders will have a good chance to find some time for an informal conversation.

The ratings of US President Barack Obama continue to fall. According to ABC News, more than a half of Americans consider Obama a loser. As many as 55 percent of the polled believe that his actions as president divide the country. Most Americans are critical of Obama's policy at a greater extent, if compared to the level of people's criticism of the policy of George W. Bush.
