Ukrainian student receives iPad for saving Russian flag from desecration

Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov presented gifts to 14-year-old schoolboy of Kiev and a member of "Faithful Cossacks," Andrei Savelyev, in gratitude for the salvation of the Russian flag. The solemn ceremony was held on December 13 at the Embassy. The teenager received a commemorative watch "The President of Russia", right from the Kremlin, and an iPad.

On October 14th, on Sofiyskaya Square in Kiev, during the march in honor of the 70th anniversary of the UPA, Ukrainian nationalists burned several flags of the Communist Party and the Party of Regions. They tried to burn the Russian flag too, but a student of a cadet class of the center of military and patriotic education of International Organization "Faithful Cossacks," Andrei Saveliev, stopped them from doing so.

Presenting the gifts, Zurabov said that such an act could not go unnoticed in Russia. He also offered trips to Moscow and St. Petersburg for cadets of "Faithful Cossacks." The diplomat said that Russia was ready to prove in practice that it values ​​the Russian-Ukrainian relations, Comments.ua said.
