Michael Jackson arrested in Moscow subway

A Canadian citizen named Michael Jackson was arrested on one of the stations of the Moscow subway for pickpocketing. Police officers arrested the 50-year-old namesake of the late King of Pop on Vykhino subway station, Itar-Tass reports.

"Standing on the platform, the man stole a wallet from the purse of one of the passengers. Police officers witnessed the crime - they arrested the thief red-handed," the press service said.

Jackson was taken to the fifth police department for further investigation. The Investigative Committee of the Interior Affairs Department of the Moscow Metro filed a criminal case against the Canadian national in accordance with Part 2, Article 158 of the Penal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The police are currently investigating the Canadian's involvement in other similar crimes.
