Nizhny Novgorod region becomes honored guest of 'The Golden Fund of the Press'


On April 16-18, Moscow hosted annual business forum "Qualitative Press of Russia and Prospects of Its Development." This year, the Nizhny Novgorod region received a diploma of an honorary guest of the Exhibition of Press.

The insignia of "The Golden Fund of the Press 2014" were awarded to 13 Nizhny Novgorod-based publications. They are regional newspapers "Nizhny Novgorod Pravda," "Course N," "Hello, People!" "Tugan Yak," as well as district editions - "Bogorodskaya Newspaper," "Voskresensk Life," "Vyksunsky Worker," "Banner," "Koverninskie News," "Pavlovsky Metalworker," "Priokskaya Pravda," "Rural Tribune" and Sosnovsky Gazette."

These publications, as well as supplements to them and special issues, formed the basis for the organization of the stand "Mass Media of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." The main subjects of the presentation of the regional press, presented by employee of the Ministry for Information Technology, Telecommunications and Media of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Oleg Sukhonin, were this year's significant anniversary - 300 years since the establishment of the Nizhny Novgorod province, various events that were scheduled in the region to celebrate the anniversary, as well as the history and the current condition of journalism in Nizhny Novgorod.

During the presentation, representatives of Nizhny Novgorod newspapers, the winners of "Insignia of the "Golden Fund of the Press - 2014" answered questions from guests and other participants of the exhibition and business forum.

Among other conspicuous exhibition stands, one shall mention expositions of "Journalist" Publishing House, print editions of the Crimean Republic and the Republic of Bulgaria.
