Fashion Festival 'Plyos on the Volga. The Flax Palette' ends in Ivanovo

Thirteen designers received the Silver Phoenix Award at the VII Russian Festival of Fashion "Plyos on the Volga. The Flax Palette". More than 30 designers presented their creations on the runway. Deputy Prime Minister of the region Pavel Konkov welcomed the guests and participants of the festival on behalf of Ivanovo Region Governor Mikhail Men.

"Today, the Ivanovo region remains the leader in the production of linen fabrics in the country - we produce more than a third of domestic linen products. We manage to upgrade the existing textile productions and maintain small crops of flax under very challenging economic conditions," said Pavel Konkov. According to first deputy chairman of the regional government, the Ivanovo region intends to participate actively in the development and implementation of the federal target program for the development of the domestic flax industry. The program, which has not been prepared yet, will become the basis for the competitive recovery of the flax production.

This year's festival is dedicated to two anniversaries: the 50th anniversary of creative activity of the master of Russian fashion Slava Zaitsev and the 20th anniversary of the main organizer of the festival - Ivanovo-based club "Business Woman." The competition took place in five categories for the first time in history.

As a result of the VII Russian Festival of Fashion "The Flax Palette," collection "Men in the City" became the winner of the "Summer Wear" category. The collection was designed by creative team "Valenti". The collection by Svetlana Korzhavina "Bella" was recognized the best in category "Ethnic Motives in Modern Clothing." The winners in "Contemporary Interpretation of Theatrical Costume" became the collection by Oksana Busygina "The Black Gull" and "Under the Cherry Petals" by Ekaterina Erkulaeva, Elizaveta Zimenkova and Lidiya Nikitina. The prize in the "Creative Collection" category was awarded to work "Linen Fur" by Yelena Vinogradova. The collection "Aristocratic Manor" by Alice Bormashova become the best in the category "Corporate Clothing in Tourism Business."

The V Festival of children's theaters of style was held within the scope of "Plyos on the Volga. The Flax Palette" festival. Young designers demonstrated their collections in categories "My Summer Dress," "Collection from Unconventional Materials" and "Half a Century of Glory" (based on collections, poems and paintings by Slava Zaitsev). Children's group "Fashion Studio Kalambina" became the winner of the festival. The team was awarded with a Silver Phoenix, a prize from the Education Department of the Ivanovo region and a special gift from Slava Zaitsev. "Charodeika", the team of the Ivanovo boarding school named after E.D. Stasova ("My Summer Dress"), fashion studio "Mirage" of the Ivanovo City Palace of Children's and Teenagers' Crafts ("Ethnic Chic") and fashion theater "Amira Style" of the House of Children's Crafts in the town of Komsomolsk ("Based on Slava Zaitsev's art").

Special diplomas and prizes were awarded to fashion theater "Aist" (Rodniki), exemplary children's group "School of Young Fashion Designer "Style" (Yaroslavl), fashion studio "Iskusnitsa" and the theater of fashion "Modnitsa" (Shuya). Gifts from Slava Zaitsev were given to fashion theater "Alice" from Ivanovo City Palace of Children and Youth Crafts and Fashion Studio "Theatre of Image" of The Center of Children's Crafts (Shuya).

The festival ended with the show of best fashion creative works. The linen collection by Egor Zaitsev was also displayed at the festival.
