Massive gas explosion in Taiwan. Multiple casualties

A gas pipeline has exploded in Taiwan, injuring around 270 people and killing at least 24. Local authorities fear the tally will rise as a result of the multiple explosions caused by a gas leak underground in Kaohsiung, a port in Southern Taiwan.

The gas leak occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, August 1 and caused five explosions in the Cianjhen District of the port city of Kaohsiung, Southern Taiwan. The massive explosions left bodies littering the streets. Many of the injured are lying in hospitals in differing health conditions. Roads were torn up and cars were blasted into the air.
