The Federal Reserve System of the United States conducted a study that showed that the probability of a recession in the US economy in 2016 was the highest since 2011.

According to NBC News, the FRS said that US exports weakened, corporate profits were declining, and industrial production was stepping into setback.

The study pointed out such positive aspects as stable consumer demand and the growth of the number of jobs in the service sector.

Analysts with Nomura company believe that the probability of a recession in the US economy depends on two structural changes: low potential of economic growth and low real interest rate.
