Turkish glass company launches new production line in Nizhny Novgorod

In Nizhny Novgorod region, a ceremony was conducted to open new glass-making production of LLC Posuda of Turkish company Sisecam.

"We have a lot of facilities operating on the Russian territory. This is the third factory that we are opening in the Nizhny Novgorod region, and it proves that this is the place, where we feel comfortable and where we receive support," Sisecam CEO Ahmet Kirman said.

The head of the Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev said at the opening ceremony that for the launch of the third stage of the glass production, the regional government provided budget incentives worth 8 million rubles; the effect of the budget will amount to 131 million rubles.

"This testifies to the high impact of the project for the regional economy, - said the head of the region Valery Shantsev. - Speaking of social indicators of the enterprise, the wages, according to directors of the company, have been growing here from year to year. Recently, salaries have been raised by ten percent. People say that they were satisfied. Our goal for the future is to create high-performance workplaces. President Vladimir Putin has set the task to create 25 million jobs in the next years throughout Russia. We believe that our region needs to create about 100,000 jobs seats and expand our capabilities."

Sisecam decided to build the third line of glass production in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2010. The project includes the construction of a new plant and the installation of new equipment for the production of glassware. The new glass furnace with the capacity of 210 tons a day and eight technological lines will make it possible to reach the level of production of 40,000 tons a year and 141 million items a year.
