Nizhny Novgorod governor to take part in Russian-Emirati business forum


The Russian-Emirati Business Forum is held in Moscow within the scope of the visit of the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, to Moscow.

The Minister of Regional Development of Russia, Igor Slunayev, chairman of the Russian-UAE Business Council, Arsen Kanokov, CEO of the Russian-Arab Business Council, Stanislav Yankovets, and the head of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Valery Shantsev, will take part in the event.

"Strengthening ties with Arab countries is as an important task of the international activities of the region. We have not mastered properly the strong potential for cooperation yet. Therefore, we appreciate the attention that you have shown to our region. I'm sure that today's meeting will be an important step in establishing a bilateral dialogue," said Valery Shantsev during his speech at the meeting with ambassadors of 20 Arab countries, members of the Arab League (the meeting took place on December 6, 2013 in Moscow). The event was organized with the support of the Office of the Arab League. Representatives of the Department for Relations with Federation subjects, parliament and public associations and the Department of Middle East and North Africa of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Russian-Arab Business Council and GAZ Group also took part in the meeting.
