Days of Nizhny Novgorod Region to be held in Belgium and Luxembourg


In early April, Belgium and Luxembourg will host the Days of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The delegation of the region will be headed by Governor Valery Shantsev. He will personally present the investment, industrial and tourist potential of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg take the 8th and 76th places on the list of 146 countries that act as trade partners of the region. In 2013, trade turnover with Luxembourg increased significantly - by 71.4 percent.

The agreement about the event was reached within the framework of the international business summit in 2013, in which Belgium and Luxembourg business missions took participation.
 
Governor Valery Shantsev will chair the delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The Days of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in the two European countries were organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Belgium, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Trade Representative Office of the Russian Federation in Belgium and Luxembourg and the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the Russian Federation.

Luxembourg Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Pierre Ferring, will accompany the Russian delegation in Luxembourg.

Economic mission of Nizhny Novgorod business and contacts exchange will be conducted as part of the event. Governor Valery Shantsev will hold a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Economy Minister of Luxembourg, Etienne Schneider, and Luxembourg Finance Minister Pierre Gram on April 3.

A keynote event will be the presentation of the investment, industrial and tourist potential of the Nizhny Novgorod Region at the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg. An exhibition of folk arts and crafts will take place within the scope of the presentation.
