In addition, Russia and China agreed to intensify their cooperation in the energy industry and to set up the joint Russian-Chinese Chamber for Technical Commerce.

The first day of the Russian-Chinese summit ended with the signing of another agreement between the Russian Space Agency and the National Space Administration of China. The new agreement stipulates join activities of the two countries in the exploration of Phobos and Mars, Interfax reports.

Russian and Chinese officials signed a number of other documents between the bank structures of the two countries.

Putin believes that the motto of China’s National Exhibition in Moscow - “Mutually beneficial cooperation and its stable development” – mirrors the relations between the two countries.

China has always been one of the most important economic partners in the world for Russia. “Our business links have been growing and strengthening during the recent several years. The trade turnover between Russia and China increased five times and reached the level of 30 billion dollars. Most importantly, many Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs start paying more attention to perspectives of technical and industrial cooperation in mutual investments and innovative projects,” Putin stated.

The Russian President emphasized that it was China’s largest economic exhibition in Russia ever. “The products presented here reflect the most considerable achievements of the Chinese economy, which gives a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the success of China’s openness and reforms,” Putin said.

Enterprises and companies of the Russian Federation and China have already signed about 20 agreements and contracts in the total sum of 4.3 billion dollars.
