Iraq Preserves 2 Command Centres

Iraq has preserved two command centres controlling the forces faithful to Saddam Hussein, Anatoly Kvashnin, Chief of the General Staff of Russia's Armed Forces, told reporters on Thursday.

Coalition forces have conducted a series of operations and their technological excellence helped disorganise the command centres of the Iraqi troops. There are two command centres in Iraq as of today-in Mosul and Tikrit, according to the Russian military.

He said coalition forces have lost over 100 tanks, more than 100 armoured personnel carriers and some 20 helicopters in the Iraq war.

Iraq's losses are 3-5 times as much.
