Russian and Georgian football authorities have co-ordinated the date when the match between the two countries' national teams will be replayed. According to president of the Russian Football Union Vyacheslav Koloskov, Moscow and Tbilisi propose that the match be replayed on April 30th, 2003.
In his words, he co-ordinated this date with his Georgian counterpart, the president of the Georgian Football Federation, Merab Zhordaniya, on the phone on Thursday.
This proposal will now be submitted to UEFA which is responsible for the final decision-making.
According to Koloskov, in the conversation with his Georgian counterpart he did not raise the issue of where the replay would take place.
The Europe-2004 qualification match between Russia and Georgia was to take place last Saturday in Tbilisi. However, the stadium lights turned out for still unclear reasons after the first half.
