The world's biggest passenger plane, the Airbus A380, took off Thursday on its maiden commercial flight from Singapore to Sydney. The historic Singapore Airlines flight SQ380 has drawn passengers from all the world. Here are some interesting facts about them.

The youngest passenger is a 10 month-old boy from Singapore.

The oldest is a 91-year-old man, also from Singapore, traveling with his family in the first class suites, business class and economy.

Thomas Lee, from California, was a passenger on the worlds first Boeing 747 commercial flight between New York and London in 1970. He is on flight SQ380

Another passenger is Ralf Danielsson, a Swedish electronics engineer who took the first Concorde flight in 1979.

The passengers are from 35 countries with a majority 28 percent from Australia, followed by Singaporeans, Britons and Americans.

There are 11 Davids on the flight, making it the most common first name of the plane.

Most seats on the plane were auctioned on eBay, raising US$1.26 million (EUR890,000) for charity.

The highest bidder was Briton Julian Hayward who bought two Suites on the flight, paying US$100,380 (EUR70,690) for him and a friend.
