The military command of Japan intends to resume contacts with the armed forces of Russia and conduct joint search and rescue exercises that had been planned, but postponed, RT reports.
Partnership between the armed forces of Russia and Japan ere interrupted after Tokyo joined the sanctions against the Russian Federation in connection with events in Ukraine. In late September, the Japanese Navy would like to return to the activities that were previously planned.
Joint search and rescue exercises will be conducted in cooperation with the Pacific Fleet of Russia near Vladivostok, ITAR-TASS reports.
