UK Elections: High Turnout

Just before the international media report on the exit polls, PRAVDA.Ru has inside information from the UK correspondent John Whitehouse, who travelled around the country today making his own opinion poll.

The first result: the turnout in this election is high, the atmosphere is charged and people are very engaged, the idea being that the three candidates (Gordon Brown, Labour; David Cameron, Conservative/Tory; Nick Clegg, Liberal Democrats) are running neck-and-neck.

The situation they inherit from the last election in 2005 and subsequent changes to the constituency boundaries are Labour with 349 seats in parliament; Conservatives 210, Liberal Democrats 62, Others 29.
