Mike Tyson says he is keen to act in Bollywood movies

Mike Tyson wants to take on something new - acting in India's Bollywood movies.

Tyson said the energy on the sets of a promotional video he recently shot for a new Indian movie has got him thinking about attempting more Bollywood work, a newspaper reported Monday.

The American boxer said in The Times of India interview that Firoz Nadiadwala, producer of "Fool n Final" - For which Tyson shot the video - had approached him with another film script.

"Firoz has discussed a movie with me," the paper quoted him as saying.

"We seriously intend to work toward it," Tyson was quoted as saying, without disclosing any details.

Last month, Tyson danced to Bollywood music at a two-day film shoot in Las Vegas for a music video to promote "Fool n Final," a movie about a diamond heist.

"The atmosphere was very congenial, happy and energetic," the daily quoted Tyson as saying.

The slapstick comedy is about two mob groups clashing over diamonds, which one gang tries to ship from the Middle East to India. Tyson plays himself in the music video, set for release later this month.

Tyson said Nadiadwala explained the concept of the music video to him earlier this year.

"I was, anyway, in that phase when I didn't mind trying out something different," he said. "The script seemed very interesting, with lots of excitement thrown in."

Tyson, who at age 20 became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in history in 1986, said there were many similarities between acting and boxing.

"In both the fields, in order to survive and triumph you need focus and to be highly disciplined and determined," he was quoted as saying.
