Flu cases reported in New York State, vaccination strongly recommended

Chemung, Monroe and Orange counties are under a new flu wave. Two children are already dead.

The New York State Health Department reported that a seven-month-old baby and a seven-year-old child were tested positive for influenza A and influenza B and later died.

It was strongly recommend that all children, especially those between six months and five years old, be vaccinated for the flu.
