Special services of foreign countries undermine activities of Russian defense enterprises

Lawyers of Omsk Manufacturing Association named after A.S. Popov filed a petition at the Federal Security Service Directorate in the Omsk region in connection with unlawful acts committed against the enterprise.

“We suppose that the targeted and cumulative actions are being committed in the interests of special services of other countries. There are reasons to believe that the mechanisms, methods, motivations and subjects, which initiated and conducted the bankruptcy of OmskTransMash, are involved in the process,” Ivan Polyakov, General Director of Omsk Manufacturing Association named after A.S. Popov said.

In the meantime, Leonid Polezhayev, the governor of the Omsk region, stated at a press conference October 29: “The perspectives, which have appeared in such an important sector of the Omsk-based industry as the defense industry, are reasonably good.” The governor confirmed that “enterprises of the region’s defense complex have received a large amount of state defense orders lately.”

The increase of the profit obtained by Omsk Manufacturing Association named after A.S. Popov during 2009-2015 from state and expert contracts at the amount of 30 billion rubles is the backbone of the economic perspectives of the region.
