At least three people were killed and 55 were injured as a result of a powerful explosion in the center of the Czech capital, Prague.
According to local police, three people may remain under the rubble of a partially destroyed building on Theatre Street, which houses the office of the International Air Transport Association and an art gallery. The building may collapse, officials said.
As reported by Czech radio channels, the Mayor of Prague, Bohuslav Svoboda, instructed Czech construction company Metrostav to set up supports in order to prevent the collapse of the damaged structures.
More than 220 people were evacuated from nearby buildings.
Most likely, the explosion occurred as a result of a gas leak, officials said.
