Military helicopter crashes in central Philippine city, killing 7

At least seven are killed on the ground as an air force helicopter crashed onto a busy street in a central Philippine city, injuring the aircraft's four crew, radio reports and police said.

The Vietnam War-era Huey helicopter pinned a motorcycle taxi, and its spinning rotors hit another on the street in the Pajo district of Lapu-Lapu city on the central island of Mactan, DZBB radio said.

An initial police report said seven passengers from the two motorcycle taxis were killed, and all four crew members of the aircraft were injured and brought to a hospital. There was no immediate comment from the air force.
