Swedish police helicopter crashes

A police helicopter crashed Tuesday during an exercise in southwestern Sweden, killing one person and leaving two seriously injured, a police official said.

A fourth person on board escaped with minor injuries after the helicopter went down by a lake near Goteborg, Sweden's second largest city, police spokesman Varg Gyllander said. All four were police personnel, he said.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
