Air Base of Anti-Terrorist Coalition in Kirghizia Will Not Be Used in the War Against Iraq - 27 March, 2003

The air base of the anti-terrorist coalition at Bishkek airport of Manas will not be used in the war against Iraq.

The head of the public relations department of the Gansy air base, Elisabeth Ortis, reported that our task will not change in view of the launched military operation in Iraq.

From the first day of the existence of the base, we have been carrying out the following missions: combat, re-fuelling and cargo flights to Afghanistan, pointed out Elisabeth Ortis.

The anti-terrorist coalition continues supporting the land forces in that country, reported the Kabar News Agency with reference to the statement of the representative of the Gansi air base.
