Iran praises Syria for the victorious battle against terrorist groups

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African affairs, Hossein Amir Abdolahian, congratulated on Thursday the Syrian people for the relentless combat against terrorist networks and terrorist the group "al-Nusra"."The continued strength of the Syrian people is discouraging their enemies," said Amir Abdolahian during an interview with IRNA.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African affairs, Hossein Amir Abdolahian, congratulated on Thursday (23rd) the Syrian people for the relentless combat against terrorist networks and terrorist the group "Frente al-Nusra"."The continued strength of the Syrian people is discouraging their enemies," said Amir Abdolahian during an interview with IRNA agency.

Amir Abdolahian referred to the recent statement of the foreign ministers of 11 countries at a meeting of the group calling itself "Friends of Syria," in Amman, capital of Jordan, which expressed its support for terrorist groups in Syria, and accused Iran and the Islamic Resistance Movement in Lebanon, Hezbollah, of sending military forces to the Arab country.

According to Abdolahian, Syria does not need military aid from Iran, while the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hasan Nasrolá, clearly denied the allegations a few days ago, about the presence of Hezbollah forces in Syria.

"Iran will support any constructive act firmly to fight the pernicious phenomenon of terrorism and organized crimes committed abroad being committed against Syria," added Abdolahian.

According to the Persian Vice-Chancellor, Iran will continue its efforts to end the violence in Syria and to initiate national dialogues between the government and opponents who believe in political solutions.

For more than two years, Syria has been the target of riots by groups of terrorist gangs, backed by western countries and some of the region, whose ultimate goal is to enable foreign intervention in an Arab country and overthrow the constitutional government of Damascus.

Iran expressed strong criticism of the measures taken by some countries that are interfering in Syrian internal affairs and providing support to the armed terrorist and takfiri groups.

"There is no doubt that these countries bear the responsibility towards the Syrian people and the international public opinion. They should have participated in the construction of Syria instead of sending weapons to it," said the statement.

It was referring to Iran's continued efforts towards constructing and developing Syria since the beginning of the crisis in terms of sending medicines, fuel and food to help upgrade the living conditions of the Syrian people instead of sending arms, "which leads to further destruction and inflaming the conflict in it."

Iran's stances have been balanced and principled from the start as Tehran has always been part of solving the crisis in Syria sparing no effort to support the initiatives which sought a political solution.
