Crews of the Tor-M2U surface-to-air missile systems and Shilka anti-aircraft weapon systems as well as operators of the Igla man-portable air-defense systems exercise countering of a massive missile airstrike within drills on guiding air defence and aviation groups on the Telemba proving ground in Buryatia.
Operators deliver missile fire against targets which imitate cruise missiles, drones and aviation of an adversary in day and night time.
Crews of the S-400, S-300, the Pantsir-S surface-to-air missile systems, as well as those of the Su-30SM, Su-25 aircraft, the Mi-24 and Mi-8AMTSH helicopters will carry out combat tasks.
'Acts of the air defence group have been given an 'excellent' mark,' Colonel Akeksandr Gordeyev, representative of the Eastern Military District, noted.
