Biden promises Ukraine to lift EU sanctions against Russia

The US Vice-President Joseph Biden told the Ukrainian authorities that they should fulfill economic and political reforms they had promised more actively. Otherwise the EU will lift anti-Russian sanctions. The warning was given while speaking to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York . Biden pointed out that for the moment a number of the EU countries are ready to lift restricting measures against Russia and highlighted that he's holding phone talks with Germany, France and Italy thrice a week, asking to maintain the sanctions policy. At the same time he also talks to the Ukrainian leaders, convincing them to decisively carry out reforms. 'We know that if they give an excuse to the EU, there are at least five countries right now that want to say 'We want out'" of sanctions against Moscow,' Biden stated. According to the US politician, Europe doesn't want to fight for Ukraine.

As Pravda.Ru reported, at the beginning of April the US Vice-President Joseph Biden announced that 335m dollars would be given to Kiev to purchase weapons, equipment and train the Ukrainian military men.
