On October 11, the Moscow police arrested several individuals, who were suspected of plotting a terrorist attack in the Russian capital. According to Interfax, there are natives of Syria among the detainees. A powerful bomb with the capacity of approximately five kilograms of TNT was found with the suspects. Suposedly, the bomb was to be detonated remotely.
The composition of the explosive device was similar to the one that was used during the weekend in Turkey, where an explosion near the central train station in Ankara killed nearly 100 people and wounded 250. For the time being, no one has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
